The easiest way to make money is to put advertisements on your blog.
Go check Google Adsense and subscribe:
Yahoo and MSN are about to release their plateform as well

Sign-up for Yahoo! Publisher Network (http://publisher.yahoo.com) and display Yahoo! targeted ad’s in your blog.
You’ll be paid each time a reader of your blog clicks on an ad.
The service is currently in beta, and they support WordPress and Movable Type.

Google Adsense / Yahoo publisher accounts deliver targetted ads to your blog and can be a ’set it and forget it’ type of income (you don’t need to do much except continue blogging as usual after you install their code).
Another good source of income can be affiliate links to products you recommend (Amazon, for example, pays a commission on every sale you refer to them).

Google AdSense and Yahoo Publisher definitely pay if you have enought traffic and the users click on the ads. In order to build traffic to your site…
1. Have good, interesting, informative content in your blog
2. Keep blogging frequently with useful content
3. Foucs on a topic like technology, health, politics, religion, etc. so that you can build and retain visitors
4. Keep in mind your targeted audience while you write each post

Problgger.net runs a blog that is dedicated to this subject.
Google Adsense is one part of the equation.
Here are a few more tips, based on an article at probolgger.net:
Sponsorhips. If your blog is about a particular subject or product, seek out related companies that may wish to advertise on your blog.
Affiliate programs. Review a product from Amazon for example, and link to it using your affiliate ID.
Digital Assets. Create a small ebook, containing guidelines and best pratices for your subject area. Consider selling this for a small fee.
Join a Blog Network. There are many blog networks now available, and joining one will increase your exposure and bring new visitors.
Write good content. Nothing is more important than creating compelling, informative content that people want to read. The more people that enjoy your content, the larger your exposure will be to wider audience.

At BusinessBlogWire.com, I discuss business blogging with others. “Business blogging” could mean getting paid to blog by your employer, or it could mean that you try to make money on your own by blogging. I think others have answered that part of the question pretty well here already. The three best tips I can give you are these: 1) Write interesting things that can benefit a lot of people; 2) Write often; 3) Be yourself. After all I’ve read about blogging for money, the most important way I’ve found to make money blogging is to work hard to make a great blog. The rest – advertising, affiliate programs, and other sources of revenue – follows naturally. Sorry if this answer falls short of your expectations – but I think there are many, many ways to make money blogging. I’d like to hear other people’s thoughts on this question.
