2 Secrets To A Brighter Future

Saturday, February 7th, 2009

Halt what you’re doing right now, just for a second and take a look around yourself and ask yourself this question; Is this the quality of life you were hoping for? If you answered “No”, then my question to you is “What are you doing to move your life to the one you envisioned?”

Most people who have been asked if they have done anything to try to change the way their lives are say “it’s no use to try because…..” or other similar excuses. But your life doesn’t have to be that way.

The first step in getting out of the endless spin of your existing life is to stop making excuses and assume responsibility for what does or does not transpire in your life. Let me repeat that. “Stop making excuses and assume responsibility”. You and “only you” can change your life situation today. How do I know? I know because I have done it… others have done it. There will always be obstacles, but none that can’t be overcome. The only requirement is “desire”. The “desire to change”. Many may not realize but desire is the most powerful emotion available to man. Even more powerful than fear.

Mark Twain once said “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight; it’s the size of the fight in the dog.”

If your desire; if your “want to” is strong enough, you can achieve almost anything you set your mind to. If your desire to have the life you want is stronger than your fear of not suceeding, then you will always obtain your desire.

The second step to getting out of the life you now find yourself in, is to take a leap of faith and, as they say, “Just do it”. There is no time like the present to change the course of your life. You might not succeed the first time, but just keep trying. Success is a constant of persistence. You only fail if you quit. Remember that. And remember the old saying “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.”

Don’t worry if you make a mistake. Nobody else knows if you make a mistake. Just close your eyes for a second, take a deap breath. Erase the mistake from time and existence. Open your eyes. Do you see it? No. It’s gone. Now try again.

Albert Einstein once said “Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.”

So… are you ready for a step out on faith? Take a chance. What is past, is past. Forget failures. Forget everything except what you’re going to do now and do it. Your new life begins now.
